Amanda Vergin M.A LLPC has earned her master’s degree in Professional Counseling through Grand Canyon University. She has experience with teens, young adults, marriage and family. Utilizing empirically sound therapeutic styles including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, Amanda believes a collaborative relationship based on respect is key to working toward achievement of therapeutic goals. Therapy is client-centered and specifically geared toward each individual client’s needs.
With a passion for helping couples achieve true healing together, Amanda is earning Level 1 Gottman training. This method of therapy is well established in the professional community. Utilizing the Gottman method allows her to assist couples in learning and applying open, honest, and effective communication as well as identifying strengths within the marriage.
When desired by the client, Amanda incorporates biblical principles and scripture with mental health therapies to further aid clients in their journey toward healing. With a degree in Theology from Concordia University, River Forest, she has a strong understanding and appreciation of the healing nature of the forgiveness we find through Christ and its ability to assist in the complete healing of individuals and relationships.
