A Partner’s Guide To Truth and Healing: A Healing Journey for Betrayed Partners

Author: John Sternfels

When infidelity occurs, betrayed partners enter into a state of emotional distress. In a flash, their world is suddenly turned upside down. With no help in sight, no one to turn to, and no one to help, they find themselves alone, shocked, angry, and scared. Their world becomes filled with hypervigilance, avoidance behaviors, flashbacks, sleep disturbances, mood and health problems, rumination thoughts, etc. Contained within the pages of this book, John Sternfels provides a pathway to truth and healing. Partners will gain a clearer understanding of what has happened and what is needed to heal. Regardless of where you are in the journey, betrayal is a season in a partner’s life but must not become a destination or a permanent identity.

How can we help?

We provide individuals, couples and families the support they may need to help overcome the many challenges in life. View our services below.

We believe marriage is a lifelong commitment, built on a nurturing, respectful partnership. Strengthening that partnership should be the couple’s number one priority.

Sexual Addiction

Sex addiction is an especially destructive and difficult problem. It ruins relationships, leads to job loss and even criminal records, while destroying self-esteem and physical health.

Partner Relational Trauma

We understand trauma betrayal wounds – the pain, anger, disbelief, hurt, insecurity, fear, anxiety, as well as the loss of relational safety and stabilization.

Couples / Relationships

All couples experience conflict. For some, it’s about money and finances; for others it’s about sex. Regardless of the type of conflict, tensions raise and expose hidden cracks within a relationship.

Life issues can be many and varied. We can help you work through stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, past/current trauma, work and career troubles.

My wife and I have been to several marital counselors over the years and have not had the positive results like we have had at NorthPoint. Our counselor listened, challenged and encouraged us to keep working hard even though at times we were close to giving up.

Thank you for working with me setting/changing my recent appointments. As you know my work schedule can be very challenging. I appreciate your patience and understanding knowing that my work schedule is very unpredictable and that my appointments may need to be changed.

I was referred to you by a new friend of mine who use to see John Sternfels when she lived in Michigan. After being told how helpful John was in helping her, I called and made an appointment. I am truly grateful that NorthPoint has video technology to help those out-of-state folks like me who need access to John’s expertise.
